There. Is. No. Face. On. Mars.

There are rocks that look vaguely like faces. The more you look the more there are -- just like on Earth and any other body. The more carefully you look, the less they look like faces.

Wikipedia Cydonia (Mars)

Quote:
One of the Cydonian mesas, situated at 30°45' north latitude and 9°26' west longitude, took on the striking appearance of a human Face on Mars in a photo taken by Viking 1 on July 25, 1976. While generally believed to be an optical illusion (pareidolia), others view it as evidence of a long-lost Martian civilization.

It will mostly look like Mt. Rushmore with about 8 inches of rock removed.

National Park Service: Mt. Rushmore FAQ:

The estimated erosion rate is 1 inch every 10,000 years.
Why?

I've probably been TooSeeked already but this is pretty interesting too.

Surprise, surprise, occasionally natural formations look a little like faces.
