Is a photon a paticle or a wave or both (it has been answered as that it is both.)?

When a photon (partical of light) hits your eye, it goes to your brain as some kind of information and it is stored.

But When we dream we use this information over and over again to construct "movies" that we think are real while we are dreaming.

When we die.... where does that information go? Where does the light go? OR where do the photons go? (along with sound waves and other things.... we do hear in our dreams)
