Default Kepler and Bode

I would like to know your opinion about the Kepler’s Mysterium Cosmographicum and Bode Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titius-Bode_law). Do you think that it is coincidence or do you think that there is some deep law that we missed ?
(Kepler's Mysterium Cosmographicum is also described in Carl Sagan's Universe - Ep. 3 "Harmony and the Worlds")

There is some controversy over this, starting with how, exactly, Bode's Law should be interpreted. A weak version of the law is that in a stable solar system the major planets clearly cannot orbit too close to each other, but this is a very watered down version of the Titius-Bode Law. The specific inversely proportional relation they proposed, which worked for the planets that were known at the time, breaks down for Neptune, which was discovered later. There have been several threads about the Titius-Bode Law in the forums. You can look for them using the forum search feature. A recent one is this.
