Default It's all in the (hobbit's) wrist

NPR news article on a startling discovery in the bones of Homo floresiensis.

The wrist bones don't resemble either humans or neanderthal. They appear to be similar to habilis or erectus.

It will be about five seconds before someone claims the wrist bones resemble those of a deformed midget who was injured in a hockey accident rather than a different species from our own.

From the link; toward the end of the article:

Regardless of weather the Hobbits are our ancestors or simply abnormal humans, they clearly defied steep odds to survive.

Tocheri's research will appear in the Sept. 21 issue of Science.
Didn't he mean "whether?"

ETA: thanks to NeoWatcher for pointing out my typo in making fun of a typo. Ugh.

Would that be a comma or a semi-colon? Anyway, I don't see weather as a factor in ancestry anyway.
Spell check is a wonderful thing... Can't make a mistake with it.

Yes, you can. It doesn't recognize "teleporter" as a word or "Sagan" as a name.

I never use spellcheck...

But I THINK you can program words and names into it to make it stop annoying you.

Even though the sound of it is something quite attrocious...
It's the word you say when you don't know what to say.
Sibrel, you are... supercalifagilisticexpialidocious!

Actually, if you read about the origin of the word from those who wrote it into the song...
It means something along the lines of "educating with beauty."
I don't feel like looking it up at the moment but that's the gist of it.

So I don't think Sibrel qualifies for the word.

In the movie, it's defined at the word to say when you don't know what to say. I meant "You're a... a... I can't even think of anything my moral code will let me say!"
Well, actually, you're a coward, a liar and a con man.
POW!
