Default Testing cosmic factors on earth.

There is one strange thing about the whole discussion about cosmic or solar factors on earth (especially climate) vs. manmade or at least "local" factors.
How can we have so many hypotheses about changes in solar climate or cosmic radiation?
With innumerable manmade probes and satellites it should be possible to get pretty exact information of the changes in those cosmic factors and make some conclusions.

Yes it is and the mainstream view is that solar variability cannot have made a significant contribution to the recent warming trend. This article links to the data and to many peer-reviewed studies.

The cosmic ray idea is considered to be ATM and is not supported by the data.

things like this tend to throw a little bit of extra confusion into the arena.
not really about cosmic rays, but still on the subject of climate change.

The article you have linked does not have anything to do with the subject of this thread and is written by a journalist with a history of peddling anti-science conspiracy theories. It is full of misconceptions, exaggerations and outright lies and is debunked here.

i know that- but i wasn't talking about the actual content, just the fact that the article exists in the first place to contradict what a lot of people "know" to be the truth.
it's hard for the general public to know what or who to believe, that's all i was getting at in my own confuzzled and sleep deprived way..
