"BobaFett!?" - Han on the sandbarge, still mostly blind. My favorite line in the whole trilogy, I think.

Yup. I had to watch RotJ yesterday (because of my kids, I have to watch at least one Star Wars film every day), and Boba's undignified demise was as unpleasing as ever.

If it makes you feel any better, he doesn't die you know. He kills the Sarlacc from the inside, and re-emerges to resume business.

Indeed, it didn't make much sense. So what happened in the Jedi Library?

you know how Popes take new names when they become pope? well, the last one to take a new name that no other pope before him had taken was Pope Lando, roughly 1000 years ago.
Apart from John Paul I, elected in 1978, of course.

[Edit] And, oddly enough, Pope Lando didn't take a new name, he was one of the last popes to keep his given name on elevation to the papacy.

The secret Sith knowledge to save Padme was apparently on a Holocron in the Jedi Temple library-- but in the "restricted to masters only" section. Consequently, Annakin was rather keen on getting promoted, and rather annoyed when he was not.

well, but there had been Johns and Pauls before (the two popes right before him, of course), so it generally isn't considered to count. the book I have claims Lando was a name he took. but I'll acknowledge that it could be wrong.

See, this is why I Prefer Star Trek ...

Either Picard or Sisko, would have Simply Called in a Favour with an Admiral Friend, like Janeway, Instead of Just Sulking over it, and Turning to The Dark Side.

Besides, Knowledge, No Matter how Powerful it is, Should be FREE, to All who Want it, None of this, Knowledge is Power, and Therefore Dangerous, Crap!

Seems Georgie has been Reading WAY Too Much, L. Ron Hubbard ...

Hmmm. I thought it made fine sense for him to be upset about being on the council but not being a Master already, without this extra reason. It ties in with the ambition he shows when he wants to share rulership of the galaxy with Padme.

So did he take the holocron when he killed everyone in the Temple?

A typical example of how poor the non-character comedy of Star Wars films is, I think. Fett survives, kills the Sarlacc and comes back out - hunting Han Solo again. Look him up in the online database at www.starwars.com.
