Default Good Good Goodies

Good astronomy on The Goodies (yes, you read that right!)

My daughter just got a Goodies DVD for her birthday. In the opening titles, they fleetingly show the Goodies dancing on the moon. Not a star in sight and the Earth roughly the right size! =D>

I see. Thanks.

Were they wearing space suits on the moon?

Yes, but (from memory) their spacecraft appeared to have landed nose-first!

Eh. So they don't have orbital mechanics down pat. I wouldn't even be able to crash there!

I'd be willing to bet (a lot) that they just forgot to put the stars in the sky hehehe

Maybe they didn't have the budget to pay for stars?

(There wasn't a lot of money available for special effects eg

[possible spoiler ]

the lighthouse that became a rocket when they discovered oil underneath it and lit a match to have a better look.)

That couldn't have been a special effect, surely? After all, they had Patrick Moore come on later to explain how you could see it in the night sky, and he's a serious astronomer.....

They did have bunny rabbits on the moon without any life support systems. Mind you, they were super intelligent space bunnies.

Saw the Goodies live on stage recently. They were terrific. Graham is a legend. His comic timing is perfect.

2 of the trio are regulars on 'I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue' possible the single must funny radio show ever.

Catch it on the BBC Radio 4 site archive.
As Tim Brooke-Taylor says it's been going so long they have been in it longer than they haven't.

The 3rd Goddie is now a Wildlife presenter.

What would be roughly the right size? It depends upon your lens, doesn't it?
