After talking for months about the upcoming
spectacular conjunction of Saturn, Venus, and Mercury, a couple days ago I contacted a friend, an assistant editor at the local paper. This morning, it was
front page news. I was impressed. This,
Three's a crowd, was the illustration above the article.
Still, the second paragraph starts off "For those attuned to planetary effects on behavior, this event might explain some recent weirdness" and the text on the front page mostly discusses an email about Mars that has been circulating that is apparently a hold-over from Mars's close approach two years ago--recently I got the same email (although, in the version I received, it does not say that Mars would look as large as the full moon, it says that it would look that large under 75x magnification.)
