Default Viz does SF again.

Last issue Viz had a SuDocWho game in which you had to arrange all 9 Doctor Whos into the 3x3 lots of 3x3 grids.

In the current issue we have "H.G. Wells the Builder", in which a dodgy building contractor arrives on a time machine and offers to fix a householder's cladding. "There's nothing wrong with my cladding!" protests the householder. "Naaaah, not yet - but I've just come from the year 802,701 and let me tell you it's a nightmare. Human civilization in ruins, subterranean Morlocks feasting on peaceful Eloi... and your cladding's completely rotted through."

Wells warns the householder that his cladding has Cavorite in it, and so he gets Martians in their war machines and invisible men to do the job.

It's fairly amusing.

Heh heh.. I only pick it up v.occasionally nowadays. I've got one from years back with a Tom Baker as 'Dr. Poo' story in it. I'll restrain from the details! 8)

See: http://www.viz.co.uk/

It's probably a very British thing.
In other words, it's ironic, rude, lavatorial and occasionally hilarious.
