I just watched the movie "Contact" after reading The Bad Astronomer's review of it on this site. I was hesitant to watch it before since everybody kept saying how nothing happened in the movie. I was expecting to see a movie about them sitting around listening to static for 2 hours and never hearing anything unusual. Anyway, it was a really good movie I thought. Except for Jodie Foster's character being a little too perky at times, reminding me of Helen Hunt's character in "Twister" (argh!) The thing is, the movie was damaged or something because it cut off before the actual ending. The last part I saw was when all the kids were visiting the radio telescope site and the kid asked if there was any life out there and Foster's character asks him what he thinks and he replies, "I don't know." She says, "Great Answer. Skeptic huh?" Then the movie stopped. Did I miss anything important? Was anything else mentioned about the 18 hours of static they found in Foster's character's video recording?

Yes, I really want to know. There are no other copies of the movie to rent in this small town. If movie spoilers aren't allowed here you could leave me an offline message on Yahoo! Messenger. My Yahoo! ID is JudgeColtAndHisJuryOfSix. Well that is how it shows up in Cheeta anyway but I think it is all lowercase letters for Messenger.
