I'm watching the new Battlestar Galactica's two hour premiere movie when I catch a glimpse of a familiar shape flying the back ground. Its about 14 minutes and 14 seconds in. The scene is the then Secretary of Education Laura Roslin sitting in a doctor's office. The shot is through a wall of glass panes. The nearest ship on the left . . .
Its not a suprise considering Firefly's use of 'documentary' style of filming . . . an obvious influence on Galactica. Seems the poor crew of Serenity made a few too many enemies and did a serious vamoose. ~C |

It's the same special effects company, isn't it? The style sure looks the same.

Oh heck. Little cameos like that happen all the time in sci-fi.
Examples: The name of a crewman of the Enterprise in ST:TNG is "Luke Skywalker" printed on his quarters door. It's not visible on screen, but a behind-the-scenes book talks about things like that all over the place. And in Star Wars I, the galactic senate had several of Spielburg's ET's in one of the berths!
