Oh for the love of..."Moby Dick" with Gregory Peck as Captain Ahab. and K.I.T.T. as the whale

Ok..first, broad...

It's from a film.

It's more recent than the last moon landing.

It is, in fact, the character you think it is.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, an intro by one of Nemo's crew.

Arrgggh, I'm glad you're not referring to Hakugei: Legend of the Moby Dick I hope.

Man, do I hate Japanese animation.

Aye mate...THE LEAGUE it is. For me, Nemo's presence was the best element.

Your go, Mak.

The whole Kali cult thing was a nice touch, tying in with the Nemo of The Mysterious Island.

Hint time:

The quote is from a movie made in the 1950s.

Hint 2:

It starred Grant Williams.

The chances someone would get this based on the original quote seemed to be getting smaller and smaller and smaller...hence the hints.

You got it, R.A.F.!

Your turn.

Interestingly enough (at least to me), another Grant Williams sci/fi movie from the 50's, The Monolith Monsters also references the "California Medical Research Institute".

New quote....

Quote:
Unidentified craft buzzing 109...repeat unidentified craft buzzing 109

Hint time...quote is from a movie made in the late 60's...

..and it was filmed in color.

Sheesh...I'm getting buried under all of these "best ST episode" threads...

Clue(s)...

The "109" is an experimental jet aircraft, and the "unidentified craft" is exactly what you think it is.

Another clue...

This movie was more about cold war cooperation than it was about alien spaceships.

More clues...(I'm going to be out of town for the next 2 days, so I need to resolve this by 1PM pacific time. )

Movie was made in 1968.

Movie contains the worst Russian accents ever.

The other word in the movie's title is Bamboo.

Now whomever can arrange those words into a movie title (placing a "the" before them) gets to post the next quote...

...because I am outta here until late Thursday...
