I should be smart enough to just know where your quotes come from. Since I'm unsure of the details, I won't guess.

That sounds like one of the older "Doctor" quotes.

Right channel, wrong show. Here are a couple more quotes from the same character:

The only other channel show I've seen is Torchwood and the quotes don't sound It.

No, no, original British channel. This is a fairly old series (well, contemporary with the "classic" Doctor Who.)

Y'all have about 24 hours to get this before I fly to LA and am incommunicado for several days. Get on the ball!

I've been loath to give the answer because I've been tying up these quote contests lately and also because I Googled this one (I thought it was Doctor Who at first, too). But ToSeek, if you need a bail-out on this quote, I can provide it. By the way, I think Alasdhair is going to experience a handslap to forehead when the answer to this one comes out.

I'll check this thread one more time before 1700 UTC tomorrow, so you can leave for at least another 18 hours. After that, it's up for grabs.

I was discussing that show recently with a friend. Almost bought a season cheap on DVD at Best Buy. I really don't want to come up with a quote right now, so I'm not answering in the post.

In the mean time, I salute you, Alasdhair.

I still don't want to come up with a quote. I'll see in anybody gets it in the next day or two. If not, I'll answer.

Alright, it's been a fun day of grading and test prep, so I want to go find a quote now. I should probably guess first. Can I post the third word it "Big Giant . . ."? Maybe if it's "Head."
I really should have picked up those 3rd Rock from the Sun dvds a few weeks ago.

It was indeed from Third Rock from the Sun: the High Commander on how the Big Giant Head got the job...

Such a wonderful show. I ended up watching clips on youtube instead of thinking of a quote. Here's one, though:

Wait, I know this one: Magnets.
That's from memory, so it might not be completely accurate, but 95% of the jist is there.
