Sorry. It's a standard abbreviation around here, where it's just so much easier than trying to figure out the specific relationship. And yeah, let's all hope I talk to him. But with my luck, he'll call again this weekend, while I'm at faire.

No-one has mentioned Bender and Fem-bot or Bender and the Planet Express Ship.
I really like bender - I just wouldn't want to know him.

What about Fry and the Lucy Liu Bot?
Quote:
Fry: "You are cute!"
Lucy Bot: "You are cute!"
Fry: "You!"
Lucy Bot: "You!"
Fry: "You!"
Lucy Bot: "You!"
Fry: "You!"
Lucy Bot: "You!"

Update: my significant other called today! Hooray! (We had an intelligent conversation, which proves that he's better with me than Amy would be! Hooray!)

Default Futurama ***SPOILERS***

Fry & Leela are the heart & soul of the show, for me. Though they are just fictional characters in a comedy, they both have traits that not only speak to who I am, but also to who I long to be.

Leela is one of those smart, capable, self-reliant people who is also lonely and longs for a soulmate. Fry knows she's way out of his league, but this just inspires him. He strives to become more than he is, BUT he wants to win her on his own merits. When the intelligent parasites he inadvertantly ingested ("Parasites Lost") make him more erudite, he rejects them because Leela loves what they have made him, rather than what he has made himself (the Robot Devil's hands are a different matter, because they did not change who he was as a person).

So Fry tries to learn the holophoner, and how to fly the ship and (though he doesn't know it at the time) moves the stars themselves to write her a love note ("Time Keeps on Slippin'"). Even more significant than his conscious efforts are those things he does instinctively: Twice he willingly and unhesitatingly puts his life in jeopardy to save her ("Love and Rocket" and "The Sting"). He doesn't do this to impress her: It's simply that her life means more to him than his own.

Fry . . . God bless him - He may not be smart, but he's got real nobility.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure he knew but she didn't.

He saw that he'd done it at the last moment just before it was destroyed, but he didn't know what he'd done until then. Leela never saw it.

Well, since nobody knows for sure what Kif's naughty-bits look like nor what they do, yes it may well be disturbing.

Yeah, Fry/Leela. For a purple-haired Cyclopsette with no chin, she's remarkably hot. Must be the nice figure -- heck, all the gals do nicely in swimsuit scenes, don't they?

Then too, I think Lois Griffin is somehow kinda hot...

Default Sweet Zombie Jesus Thread

Sweet Zombie Jesus!

Resurrected after a year-and-a-day!

Of course, with "Bender's Big Score" coming out in less than a month and a Series ressurection on the horizon, it is a pretty good time to be a Futurama fan.

Well, he did get some of Leela's DNA, get pregnant and have a bunch of little tadpoles! But I didn't find it disturbing.

nobody mentioned Fry and that bureaucrat gal that took over after Hermes got demoted.
that episode had the best musical number, too. i love how they kept making the line "I am Bender, please insert girder" blend seemlessly into the tune.

Well, hit me in the crotch and call it an original Hollywood joke, look at your avatar already.

BTW, a few of those tadpoles had just one eye.

I saw that episode in re-runs for the first time this year. Coincidentally, I had just been to Roswell the prior week and actually noticed there still was a Sears store there (and I'm sure they sell microwave ovens, now). It just made the episode that much more funny.

My favorite couple: Lrrrr and Ndnd

Actually, I mentioned Fry and Morgan Proctor in original post.

I would say this is a toss-up with Robot Devil's song.
