Default The spectetors looks the space related movies with a great interest alongwith family

I have seen this picture in the multiplexes, theatres and even on the small screen, the spectetors looks such movies with the great interest but today what we are experiencing that such sort of space related movies are least in the quantity. There is a great need to release more number of movies on science and space. To generate and grow the awareness among the public it is quite needed, but it is not going to be happen, But I am optimist that to see this situation in next 5 years that people will prefer always only science and space movies instead of just looking others.

1. may be such movies are not generating big revenues,
2. there are specific peoples to watch such movies
3. there are more number of children and students to watch such movies and no entertainment for the family as whole
4. adults do not want to see the science and space movies
5. the heading of the movies are not to the expectation of the spectetors

These are possible causes that's why we are looking this situation today that "why there are least movies on such topic", but in big cities the families are watching such movies with a great interest and keeping the popcorn cups in their hands with raising eyebrows. they have given a 5 stars to the star war series too. I too expecting the release of starwar episode #_ ( I am waiting now that which episode is the next of the previous)

Probably won't be anymore Star Wars movies. I hear rumor of of a TV series due in the US sometime soon.

The big problem with Hollywood, the minute you want to attract kids, there enters into the dark mind of a filmmaker this element of the silly that detracts from entertainment value for anyone who isn't a slave to their children's every wish and whim (read: Non-parent adults). Too much attention is then focused on the whiz-bang effects and the cheeseball aspects that later turn into marketing revenue from spin off toys and other non-film income.

Space related or not, I'm not particularly hopeful about anything to do with Hollywood movies in the coming years. Not hopeful at all.

That's definitely an optimistic view, considering the sci fi/space movies that have been put out recently. Maybe if they did an Apollo series, or a Viking series, or a Mercury series... I mean, they made a movie about a fictional Federation's first warp flight, so why not make a movie depicting more of the history, technology, and drama of our actual accomplishments?

Actually, it wasn´t that hard...

Sunil, I think the general public is allergic to science and space.

Thanks Argos, but talking with aliens is somewhat very difficult.

As far as general public is concern they are not allergic to the science and the space, but there is a least percentage among them about this subject, or they don't have a knowledge, (if we say that they have all knowledge then why they don't share with others, that the problem with the people, every people on earth thinks and act differently ) or may be they are not always interested to talk on this topic, the reasons are more, but which reason suits perfectly that's a matter.

I think the biggest reason is that most of the producers/directors/screenwriters/actors have rarely been in a science classroom let alone have a good understanding of a specific science.
