it might be too violent for some people's tastes...I found the violence in the Pegasus/BSG episodes to be a little over the top

There was the Caprica prequel series, but I haven't heard anything about that for a while. |

From what Ron D. has said, Season 4 is going to be it, and he's going to finish the story right, and not leave anything hanging. Well, this particular story. He might leave the seeds of something new. But he's said he's going to give this storyline "closure". We may or may not like it , but he's going to finish it. He didn't want to have it up in the air whether there was going to be a season 5, and have to leave it hanging, then hastily finish if Season 5 was cancelled. And he didn't want to be in the process of finishing it, then have then tell him a fifth season was a go and then have to drag it out. This "Razor" thing is going to tell a lot of backstory, the rumor/spoiler mill says. It's going to explain how Cain came to be the way she was, and what happened during the original attack. Gina-6 will be in that big time (this comes from people who watch Tricia Helfer's hair -- she was observed wearing Gina hair a lot during the filming). And we'll get some story about a young Pop Adama as the young hot shot Viper pilot in the first Cylon war. In that we'll see some of the original style Centurians and raiders that look like the original series. That ought to be fun. Caine was a young girl then and we'll see some stuff that shaped her into what she became. -Richard |

(On a side-note, that commercial was the best thing about Flash last night. Nothing else was worth watching during those 90 minutes.) |

I think the Gina hair is her real hair, actually. Well, I think she was in Playboy a while back -- anyone who looked at that, for the articles of course, might have picked up some inadverdent insight into her natural hair color.
Oh wait, nowadays they work on that, too. ![]() At any rate, back in the mini and first season, they dyed her hair that platinum blond color. It took its toll and was about to fall out by the end of the first season, so they had to rig some wigs for her. They've done a pretty good job, because I can't really tell it's a wig. But that gives them hair flexibility for the many faces of Six she must play. I can't believe I know this stuff, much less admit I know it by posting it somewhere. Yep, I like this stupid show all right................. ![]() -Richard |

Yeah, that is her natural hair color. That's about the color it was when I got her autograph at GenCon two years ago.
(I would have preferred that Summer Glau was able to attend, but Tricia Helfer worked almost as well in her stead.) |

More in the Tricia hair watching. Here's some "candid shots" of her on the BSG set. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see a shot of them taking the Six wig off with her real hair tight under a net.
Again, I can't believe I actually look at this stuff. Poor thing also got some little boo-boos on her arms from some of the stunt work. Just makes me want to -- well, this is a family forum.................http://triciahelfer.com/blog/?page_id=101 -Richard |

Tonight at 9PM EST on the Sci-Fi Channel (US):
"Battlestar Galactica: Razor Flashbacks recount the touch choices made by Admiral Cain and the Pegasus crew in teh wake of the Cylon attack on the Colonies. 120 Minutes" It's been so long since I've seen any BSG, I barely remember the plot or characters.

All I got to say about this episode, is WOW! It's like the tell-all episode that ties all the BSG mysteries together...it's almost like a quick'n'dirty "series finale" to cover the event the show is unexpectedly canned.

I only watched the first half...one thing that caught my eye was during the flash back scene where Adama was on the planet and he found the lab....was the woman in the room Starbuck? Sure looked like her....how did she manage to travel back in time?

The best bit was with the classic Cylon Raiders and Cylon Centurions, complete with red-eye sound and a "By Your Command!"
That was pure payoff for all us geeks out there.

Yes, it was pretty cool for them to pay homage to the original series by incorporating this element into the "revisioned" world.
Any guess when the 6-eyed singers will appear in BSG? ![]() The guardian cylons did not look that good in Razor, imo. The CG likeness looked a bit "plasticky". This may sound strange, but I think real actors dressed up in all that shiny chrome metal seemed a bit more realistic to me. ![]()

Yes, I agree that they were a little too obviously CGI. The CGI must have been cheapter than building suits.
Still cool though. And actually, they already were integrated into the re-imagined world - the very first scene of the original mini-series featured the Colonial Officer looking over a schematic of the classic cylon, and there was one in the Galactica museum in the port hangar pod as well. It was just cool to see them in action.
