TIE fighters are cool, but would you want to actually fly one? No shields, no hyperdrive, no life support, and they can't even land.
Yeah, I'll stick with the N-1s. But in a New Jedi Order novel, Jaina Skywalker did put a hyperdrive core in a salvaged TIE fighter.

The old 'C-57D' Forbidden Planet was always a favorite fantasy ship.

Though I prefer the U.S.S. Discovery from 2001 with the Eagle Transports from Space 1999 coming in a close second.

I'm fond of the EarthForce's Omega and Warlock class destroyers, most of the Centauri and Narn capital ships, and there's a special place in my heart for the (pretty but fragile) Brakiri Avioki cruisers.

Yep. I liked those ships. Granted, they wouldn't work in a thick atmosphere like on Earth, but in space, they'd do well.
