Was anyone else listening to this series

It has been on BBC Radio 4 in the UK for the past few weeks at 15:45 PM BST. Unfortunately on their listen again, you can only listen to the last seven days worth of programmes.

It has been running for a while, and initially I thought it was for one week, but it is having a six week run.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Heather Couper an astronomer Royal at one time?

they have done 24 episodes so far, the lat one I heard yesterday covered the development of the 'dark matter' theories.

I have emailed the BBC to ask for them to put the whole series on line, but don't hold your breath

She's a CBE and Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, but has never been Astronomer Royal, and is probably rather unlikely to be now that she works almost entirely in the media.

So was she one time the president of the RAS?

Is that what I may be recalling?

According to Wikki, it was the British Astronomical Association she was president of.

Astronomer Royal?!

Heh heh heh...HA HA HA...he he..dear me..

Actually I think I have noted a slight agenda
in the series so far. Female figures in
astronomical history seem to have got more
promenance than usual!

And why not?

Being mentioned at all will generally do that!
