Default The Plan (Battlestar Galactica)

Hello fans of BSG

Some mysterious stream of data was downloaded on my desktop computer ! Incredible ! It was 'The Plan" a kind of sequel of Battlestar Galactica !

I just finished watching it and even if it is not exactly exciting , it is interesting and well done. And it was just nice watching again the series.

They did a good job solving some minor mysteries and the humanoid cylons characters are better described .

There are also some good and fierce special effects/CGI , particularly in the beginning. However , about 9 minutes in the show , they used map or photos of the middle east to illustrate ,planet Caprica about to be nuke. One can clearly see the Persian Gulf , with qatar and ormuz strait and also the south of Caspian Sea and several other places. If it is a joke i cannot say I like it.

This show is about fillings gaps let open in the series , so I don't think anybody But fans will be interested. If you are one ,like me , IMO you will be pleased.

The footage of the nuclear plumes was from the tropical storm that moved over Pinatubo during its eruption, or something similar I believe, at least for the series.

Figures they would release the DVD first instead of airing it first. I guess I will just wait for the gigantic box set that will eventually come out with all 4 seasons, all webisodes, and The Plan. On Blue-Ray. Can't wait.

but then they will come out with a super duper special deluxe box set with more extra special features and previously unseen footage, and you will have to buy that.
might as well wait a few years for the world to forget about BSG and get the last box set from the bargain bin at your local Wal Mart..

I don't really care about the special features, though. I just like the show.

When the BSG miniseries came on, I became a fan. Watched the entire series, liked most of the episodes, etc. Always made sure I had my PVR set to record it, even if I was at home 'just in case'. Also recommended the series to friends.

Then came the series finale. Some really fine action to start, got all pumped.

Then.... it came. The last hour of the last episode of a series that I had enjoyed so much. And I was so completely disappointed with the way they wrapped up some of the plot holes that I decided I will avoid all related BSG spin-offs. I will also avoid buying any of the DVD sets, because if I start watching any of the episodes my mind will probably start to wander to the very end of the series.

[Not quite family-friendly analogy removed]

The Plan filled in some great background information, such as who Caprica 6was talking to on Caprica when Baltar walked away, and the motivation behind the attack on Adama.

The only drawback was where it ended. It would have been nice to have seen it go a little further in the time line at the end, but otherwise it was an interesting and satisfying film.

Once you see it you will understand why it was broadcast.

About certain aspects to finally, those aspects started in the miniseries.

Not all Cavils are created equal.

Yes it kind of surprised me , but it's a smart idea , because it means all these Cylons can use their free will to choose between good and evil.

Speaking of evil , the murdering this boy did not add any thing to the show to say the least.

Killing the boy was a good in showing how easy it was for onr to kill while the other had a hard time taking the shot.

[having taken a shot whenever a BSG profanity was uttered]I really enjoyed it. The theme was very consistent with the message of the series. Dean Stockwell is also quite awesome. My regrets were that they didn't explain more about how Two become so obsessed with Starbuck.[/having taken a shot whenever a BSG profanity was uttered]
