Fraser,
I am a relatively new subscriber to the "Universe Today" it is a great way of finding out about space and related topics...............BUT I would like for someone to "start at the beginning".........for both adults and children.....It all bamboozles me...... e.g. what do we know about planets, what is the current status of of our space-travel and (permanent?) space station and technology. What are the Russians/Americans and other nations doing in space........apart from your bulletins I hear nothing about space unless a major accident happens e.g. when launching etc. Please could someone start at the beginning for us novices and children just asking the plain + simple questions. Is there a Website that could supply this information..............is there scope for a "novices" Universe Today??? Would love to hear from you. Thanks, Corry |

Thanks for the question. It's kind of hard to start at the beginning, because everything is connected together, and the space industry has been going for 50+ years since the launch of Sputnik.
This was one of the reasons I actually started working on Universe Today in the first place. I knew I was interested in space and astronomy, but I felt like there was just too much information to wrap my head around. I didn't actually know anything. So, I built the site and started maintaining it day after day. After a while, all the pieces of the puzzle slowly dropped into place for me. I've got an archive, which contains every single issue of Universe Today. Feel free to browse through it. Follow any story that interests you to learn more. You'll be busy for months. :-) http://www.universetoday.com/html/archive/ You can also browse back through the archives by topic: http://www.universetoday.com/html/misc/categories.html Good luck!
