This may be somewhat OT, but on this forum several years ago someone listed the URL of a fabulous sci-fi site, a huge story compiled from a large number of authors. It has a historical style format, and starts several million years ago with a race of space-faring crab-like creatures and ends around 10,000 AD with the human race evolved into all sorts of life-forms spread throughout the galaxy. It has a huge glossary, with Wiki-style crosslinking to and between all the various story segments. There are detailed discussions of all the various drives that were invented to allow intergalactic expansion, and the biology of all the numerous species and their interactions over the millienia.
The URL was in my Favorites in my old computer, but I've lost it now that I have a new one. Does anyone out there remember this site? Thanks, George |
