Default Sound on Mars

How does the sound sound on Mars and Venus?
And how thick an atmosphere must be to propagate sound that is human ear able to hear?

The speed of sound will be an important factor:-

I worked it out for Venus once. It wasn't too much faster than on Earth due to the much lower adiabatic index offsetting the density.

But I once read that with increasing pressure, the sound becomes increasingly louder. Is that true?

This makes Venus the ideal place for retirement homes.

Huh interesting....so in medium pressure 1-2 bar enviroments like on Earth or Titan it sound normally, with Titan's sound louder because of mildly higher pressure but Venus extremely hi-pressure enviroment is interesting - weak and bassy...why they do not included Mars....

Mars' atmosphere is too thin to conduct much audible sound.

He tells you on the webpage: "The 'Mars filter' is much too attenuative due to the tenuous CO2-based atmosphere, so I didn't include it."

And besides that Mars Polar Lander had a microphone on it - unfortunatelly it was lost
And that microphone was going to record SOUND AUDIBLE BY HUMANS.

Look at the graphs, read the webpage, and stop being rude.
Mars' atmosphere has a thousand times the attenuation of Earth's.

...by using a microphone much more sensitive than human ears.

I'd advise against it, if you want anyone to answer any more of your questions.
I've certainly just lost interest.

m1omg, Calm down.

That's why this site is the best - it's not like all those other rude internet forums/chatrooms.
