Default Interesting Pic of Opportunity's Wheel from yesterday.

I thought the rover's wheels were uniform around the circumference.

I think this part of the wheel is what causes the "breaks" seen in the tracks (in many of the track photos I have seen). I thought those "breaks" were times when the rover stopped to "get its bearings".

Unless I'm mistaken, the odd square pattern on the wheel is the point where the wheel was clamped to the lander during reentry.
