*laugh* I have to admit, that is the most novel way of funding space exploration I have ever heard of! Of all the people who would be the least resistant to an additional tax to fund space exploration, people who buy sci-fi would be the prime target.

But it's not the tax that I found interesting; it was his idea of requiring a consitutional convention whenever we reach 30,000 colonists on any world outside of the Earth. Finally, there's a politican who is capable of looking beyond getting the next election cycle.
