Default Cassini NAC/WAC Filter List?

Anybody got a list of all the filters used in the filter wheels on Cassini's narrow and wide angle cameras? I've got a simple list of the filters (BL1, UV3, etc.), but not the nanometers for each filter. Googled like mad, but no joy.

Thanks,

Rick

The Narrow Angle camera has 12 filters per wheel.

Filter Wheel 1
CL1 Clear
RED Red
BL1 Blue band 1
UV2 Ultraviolet band 2
UV1 Ultraviolet band 1
IRP0 Infrared 0º polarizer
P120 120º polarizer
P60 60º polarizer
P0 0º polarizer
HAL Hydrogen Alpha
IR4 Infrared band 4
IR2 Infrared band 2
Filter Wheel 2
CL2 Clear
GRN Green
UV3 Ultraviolet band 3
BL2 Blue band 2
MT2 Methane band 2
CB2 Continuum band 2
MT3 Methane band 3
CB3 Continuum band 3
MT1 Methane band 1
CB1 Continuum band 1
IR3 Infrared band 3
IR1 Infrared band 1

The Wide Angle camera has nine filters per wheel.

Filter Wheel 1
CL1 Clear
IR3 Infrared band 3
IR4 Infrared band 4
IR5 Infrared band 5
CB3 Continuum band 3
MT3 Methane band 3
CB2 Continuum band 2
MT2 Methane band 2
IR2 Infrared band 2
Filter Wheel 2
CL2 Clear
RED Red
GRN Green
BL1 Blue band 1
VIO Violet
HAL Hydrogen Alpha
IRP90 Infrared 90º polarizer
IRP0 Infrared 0º polarizer
IR1 Infrared band 1

For the Continuum Bands, Band 1 and 2 are in the red part of the spectrum while Band 3 is in the infrared.

Thanks; I've got basically this list; what I'm really looking for is any idea where each filter is centered as to nanometers?

Thanks,

Rick

Mr. Sternbach,

I took a filter name provided by the other poster and added wavelength and Cassini and Googled it and found:

From http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/data/299/5612/1541/DC1/1 :

GRN (568nm), CB1 (619nm), CB3 (938nm), MT1 (619nm), and those in S2.
UV1 (258nm), BL1 (451nm), CB2 (751nm), MT2 (727nm), and MT3 (889nm).

Trying a Google for "IR4 UV3 nm cassini" found the following:

http://www.bernd-leitenberger.de/cas...strumente.html

It is in German and the page is badly formatted, but one can find in it a table with the complete data you want.

But, I'm glad if it helped lead to that nice German site.

Harlequin, that's really cool. I tried doing some searching myself but only found that other Porco et al PDF document that gave a few filter centers. That was clever to search on the filter names, to get past the laguage barrier, and score the German version. Way to go.

A big hint in using search engines is to be specific. If one knows some info, use it. As for the German site, I don't know German but even before I clicked I knew it was unlikely to be a language barrier since the data would most likely be in a table that would look the same in German, etc. as it does in English (with the exception of headers or comments). The filter names are not going to change (if they did Google would not have found that page), the numbers are going to be the same, and "nm" is standard symbol which will be the same in all languages.

Of course if you had not posted the filter names, I might not have got the job done.
