Default Question on detailed images & smart way 2 view Apollo ?

Will we be able to see Landers like the Rangers, Russian Luna, Mars rovers and the NASA Apollo landers from other telescopes?

I don't really know where this question should go, maybe it's better in Lunar Conspiracy or Mars Chronicle?

I know our good Bad-Astronomer has addressed this type of Question before, and how Mr Philip Plait has explained to some of the crackpots out there why people who say 'Your scope can't see Apollo ..it is fake..' are just being silly. How the heck is a 3-inch scope supposed to pick up a lander on the surface of the Moon :P . My post might have been answered before but I done a bit of searching through the old post and couldn't find an answer to my question, so forgive me if I have over looked the obvious.

The people at NASA have made some fantastic designs for craft in the past and latley the ESA have launched Smart-One ( they must have spent a lot of time reading that Hare and Tortoise story ) . Just in case you don't know of Smart-1 it's like this : It's a new idea for a Spacecraft with some great designs, the problem is the craft is very slow to get going but some of the ideas behind it are fantastic such as the new design for ion engine , laser beam for communicating, the KaTE link, a new design for electronic camera, and the plan for infrared spectrometer. The types craft designed today can still be looked at as very sophisticated telescopes

My question is this do we have anything out there with the power to photograph the Apollo Landers, stuff landed on Mars, or the Russian probes. Maybe a photo of the Apollo lander from another scope would finally shut some of these conspiracy folk up ?

And if we do have the power to image these landers, are there any photos of the Landers taken from other crafts and could the smart1 be able to do it ? :-?

This has already been addressed here.

The key term is resolution as a function of the size and distance of the object you're trying to resolve. 8)

This site,
http://www.boulder.swri.edu/~durda/A...ing_sites.html
is good for comparing earth-based views with lunar orbit photos. Note that in the Apollo 17 series you can zoom right in and see the lunar module on the moon's surface. It's not recognisable as such -- just a tiny wee bump among a lot of craters with some lighter-coloured soil around it -- but its location fits with other photos and documents.
