Apollo 11 25 hours into the mission Jim Lovell takes over briefly from Capcom Bruce McCandless and makes a last attempt to be first on the moon 25:11:21 Capcom (Lovell): Is the Commander aboard? 25:11:36 Armstrong: This is the Commander. 25:11:39 Capcom (Lovell): I was a little worried. This is the backup Commander still standing by. You haven't given me the word yet. Are you Go? 25:11:48 Armstrong: You've lost your chance to take this one, Jim. 25:11:53 Capcom: Okay. I concede. The CDR, CMP and Gemini 12's CDR give another guy a hard time 27:15:24 Collins: You may have to repeat some of that, James. We've got a LM guy taking care of the high gain right now. 27:15:30 Armstrong: Yes, and he is eyeballing the Earth. 27:15:32 Collins: He's got his head out the window. 27:15:35 Capcom (Lovell): I understand, I had trouble on 12 with him, too.

Wait a minute. The HBs that are indignant that the Apollo astronauts are laughing and joking on the Moon are the same HBs that think that it is so suspicious that the astronauts look tired and solemn after they get back to Earth! Talk about trying to have it both ways!
