Cassini will go into orbit around Saturn in July 2004. Europa orbits Jupiter.

For more information on the mission status, go here:

Part of the Cassini mission is to launch a probe to Titan, to answer the question of the titan atmosphere. If I remember correctly Titan is the only other object in our solar system that has dense nitrogen atmosphere, naturally earth being the other. But the big difference is that oxygen is the second major component here on earth, and methane on Titan.

with the temperature on titan, methane is liquid so instead of the water cycle we experience on earth, titan may have a evapo-transpiration cycle with hydrocarbons.

Can't wait to find out if methane streams, rivers or pools exist!

Cassini will enter orbit around Saturn in July 2004, and the Huygen's spacecraft will splashdown onto Titan in Dec 2004. I don't know why they are waiting so long to launch the descent probe, why not launch it straight away? Anyway should be exciting.
