If it were possible, and probably will be one day, a great thing would do would to do a flyby of a black hole. Dangerous but you'd live for an extra few thousand years or whatever it would be, but you'd get to live in the future, which of course would become the current. Whether you would like the future is a whole other story....

What do you think would be an interesting Space holiday?

Hey, think about what you would owe in taxes when you got back. That might really bite.

Other thatn tht, I'd like to vacation in the Caribean by way of Mars.

Thats a good point, but if you are missing for more than 7 years aern't you pronounced legally dead? So you would be getting no tax. But you would want to put some money into a bank account and just let it accumulate intrest, you'd be rich when you came back (as long as you wern't pinned with taxes).

Yea, you'd probably be concidered leagaly dead, however, I'm sure that some bean counter somewhere in the IRS would want to get all uptight and audit you. He'd probably claim that you'd gone to all of that trouble just to get out of paying you taxes. And, as far as a bank account is concerned, after ten years of inactivity the bank would try and find out if you were actually dead - legaly or not. Anyway, the bank or your relatives would end up with your money anyway. <_<

Now on the other hand, if you were to have NASA or whatever other agency your with keep tabs on your savings and investments then maybe you wouldn't mind having to pay a few extra bucks in taxes. Of course, if you use NASA, they might forget about you - kind of like some of those Mars probes in recent history :P . - but then what are the actual chances of something like that happening.

and go to the toilet before you leave...

I thought you meant something entirely different. Like Yuri Gagarin Day, and Moon Landing Day. Those sorts of holidays. These are the things that should be celebrated around the world. I mean seriously, celebrate the day humans launched themselves into space or stepped on another planet (essentially) or celebrate the queens birthday? ummmmmmmmmmmmm ... You know, the queen may very well throw a wicked party but I haven't been invited so forget her. Of course here in Australia we'd take all three. God save the sorry sod who tries to take away one of our public holidays.

Now back to the topic...

Failing that, I'll take a two weeks, all-expenses-paid holiday on Mimas please
