I bet you've heard of what President Bush wants to do. He wants NASA to construct a perminent base on the Moon. He said he wants to keep up the "Great American Pioneering Sprit". He wants it to be a all American built base. But it's probably going to turn out just like it did with the ISS. If he does get the money from congress I doubt it will be enough. Congress then cuts the funding boo hoo, then NASA begs ESA the Russians and Jappeness to help them. What do you think will happen?

The last thing I've heard is that the white house denied that the president would announce any grand vision for human space exploration. But if he indeed have such plans, I hope it will involve other nations as well. But I seriously doubt that they want to fund something like this. Apparently there are other things that are considered more important...

Rumours are still wafting about that an announcement will be made on Dec 17th, the centenary of the first ever flight.

Even if there is an announcement, I wouldn't put any money on it actually happening. Look how many times we were promised a shiny new space station before NASA finally got the funding for the ISS

I don't believe Bush, he is talking his neck out(a chimpasee). But I believe NASA want go to moon, but it depents of gouverements(bush) of course.

but better work together with ESA, USSR, China and more because the Moon is of us all, the mankind but keep curretent! (curretent keeps countries more in race/action;if another doing it better, then we go do it better etcetera)

USA always says Been there, Done that.
If USA plans go to moon again, they'll don't like Apollo program; just walk around, gather little stones, a few experiments. But must be bigger plan, at the current situation of USA (agressor, war, debt) sure he cannot do it alone without help of one another space agency like ESA or USSR.
