Default Future Moon missions

Hey all,Did you guys hear???NASA is planning more moon missions, starting the year 2018.The cost:A cool one hundred billion Abe Lincolns,Andy Jacksons and George Washingtons. The scenario:A four man crew traveling to the moon(Unsure if all four will be landing,or perhaps as in Apollo,Two or three lucky guys going on down with one or two others lingering behind in the mother ship).I didn't read about all of it.I believe you can find more about it on cnn.com.Anyway,just thought you might like to know.

One of NASA's reasons for going back to the Moon is to demonstrate that astronauts can essentially "live off the land" by using lunar resources to produce water, fuel and other valuable commodities.

Such capabilities are considered extremely important to human expeditions to Mars which, because of the distances involved, would be much longer missions entailing a minimum of 500 days spent on the planet's surface.

One interesting feature was they are looking to design a rover to push dirt around. I assume this is to aid in the construction of a cheap radiation shield for the lodgings.
