Yes, online petitions are seen as useless, but in this case I don't think it can hurt. At least it give us little people a chance to express our feelings and opinions. Hopefully someone will recognise that there is support for space exploration in the international community.
Speaking of which, I wonder how many people have signed the petition. There seems to be no review or counter feature on the site. I'm curious to see what kinds of comments have been made as well.
