Default Russians to the Moon and Beyond!

Russia's Top Space Company Targets Moon

I wonder what the price tag for that Soyuz commercial circumlunar flight will be? Time to start saving those pennies...

BTW, what a remarkable contrast between the Russian space budget and NASA's!

The Russian's have taken to space-capitalism like a duck to water, I've got a feeling this Moon trip could give the Russian's a huge boost through economics, politically and by the press their space program will get

I wish them the best of luck, and secretly hope they beat NASA's Moon missions. Imagine if they could pull off such a coup for a minute fraction of the cost of Apollo 8, using what is essentially 30 year-old, off-the-shelf technology? I must say that I've always admired their quick, bargain-basement approach to manned exploration.

Only gonna do a brief flyby through murky territory to say that I'm not putting much faith in Russian plans involving anything remotely capitalist till after the next round of Presidential elections.

I smell an old school bear, and I don't like the possibilities that brings.

I think that they should offer a free seat to Alexei Leonov.
