Default Presentation: NASA, space science, and other cool stuff

I've volunteered to give a presentation with approximately the title above at an upcoming science fiction convention. Items I want to include are listed below (not yet in any particular order). Suggestions are welcome with regard to both content and organization.

What's happened (2006, roughly):

- Latest WMAP findings
- Mars rovers (Spirit 1000 sols, Oppy to Victoria)
- MRO (arrival, first pictures)
- Mars Express (cool pictures, including "Face")
- STEREO launch
- Cassini (backlit Saturn, Earth imaged)
- New Horizons launch
- End of SMART-1
- Latest cool photos from Hubble, Spitzer, Chandra
- Shuttle returning to operational status

What's coming (short- and long-term):
- New Horizons Jupiter encounter
- Cassini (Iapetus)
- STEREO operational
- Hubble servicing
- COROT
- JWST
- MESSENGER
- Phoenix Mars lander
- Orion/Constellation/Ares: what's up with manned flight
- GLAST
- Dawn
- THEMIS

I'd stick the Cassini backlit Saturn image at the top of your list. Even if it isn't necessarily the most impressive feat from a scientific point of view, it will look more impressive to your average space enthusiast.

Hi! I'm writing this from the science fiction convention in Chicago where I gave my presentation yesterday. I won't go into details, but I ended up with 60-odd slides going over the past year of pretty photos and events and the next year of launches and such, plus a few missions farther out that I thought were of particularly interest, like MSL, JWST, and Constellation. Things got a little frantic about 45 minutes through when I realized I was only halfway through my slides, but I sped up at that point and finished only a few minutes late. I have since had half-a-dozen or so people compliment me on the presentation. Since that represents about a fifth of the total audience, I'm satisfied.

Might be tricky - the PowerPoint file is 32 megabytes.

Ares V should be first on the list.
