Question Good interactive 3d Map of The Milkway

I have a good collection of Galaxy maps but for sometime I have been looking for a 3D interactive map of the Milkway. Any suggestions?

The Galaxy is a pretty big place so any such map will be a processor hog, almost as much the Windows Aero.

However, Celestia, does have such a programme. It's only good for the local area though, but swimming around the nearby stars is fun too.

Celestia is very good. But there are on-line resources too...

Have you seen this page?

It is very good for an on-line site.

For more detail, a star map can be found online here
