Over in Bad Bad Astronomy, the BA asked for help in weeding out adverts that are inappropriate to this site. I definitely think you should report this one.

I heared a radio add for that star registry company we always talk about. They are running a whole bunch of adds recently for Valentines day. They say that for a certain amount of money they will name a satr and put that name in a book that will reside in the paptent office. See thats the trickey part. Its a book in the office, they do not recognize your star itself. :-)

Do you think if I bought the landing sites for the 5 or so probes that worked after landing I could take NASA to court and charge rent?

I'll just make my own certificate, and save a few bucks.

It sounds like fraud, however what may save him from a fraud charge, is that on the bottom of the information, it says something like "this novelty item..."

When I read that something is a novelty item, I assume that it is a joke, and I would not take it seriously. However that comment was at the bottom of the add, making it hard to see.

Walter has the right idea, just make your own certificate--if you have a printshop type program, you should be able to make one.
