SUMMARY: The Sea Launch Commander and the Odyssey launch platform headed out to sea on Monday, beginning the journey to reach the equator in the Pacific Ocean. This time around, Sea Launch will be launching the Galaxy XIII/Horizons-1 satellite on board a three-stage Zenit 3SL rocket. The launch window begins at 0403 GMT October 1 (12:03 am EDT). Once it reaches geosynchronous orbit, the satellite will provide digital video, Internet and data services to North America.
