These are very interesting objects. Post-starburst galaxies are galaxies which have had a major burst of star formation shut off in the last Gyr or so and I think the quasar lifetime is only around 10 million years, so this begs the question: Why has the starburst been truncated, but the supermassive black hole is still feeding on gas presumably fed into it via the same merger which caused the starburst?

We have to treat celestial objects relativistic. So gravity acting on a body should be calculated according to general relativity and the body should be treated as in free fall. That is the supposed state of motion of a star.
The surprise arises, if one did. Black hole, jets and quasars are gone and the area looks quite calm and unspecific.
