Like I said, I have a problem with it too. Just use one account, I'll delete the others.

WHAT! YOU WENT THROUGH THIS WHOLE EMOTIONAL DRAMA, I PLAYED TO YOUR TUNE AND ALL YOU CAN SAY IS "WHATEVER!" You are an adult. I am sixteen. Please, set an example! If it troubles you, say so, don't turn your troubles into everyone else problems, and if something troubles you, you speak your mind and insult me for a week and give me a guilt trip, and then I find a solution and you don't even say thanx, then I suggest fraser removes your title of moderator. And Fraser, you say: Quote:

StarLab, I said "whatever" because I'm just not that bothered about what you think about me or who you blame. And I'm not the one who's being overly emotional here. I've said it before but this will be my last time: I don't have a problem with you. End of discussion.

Starlab you've got to chill. If you are going to "play" with the grown ups you must go by their rules. Not one person has insulted you, you are acting like a baby. i work with sixteen year olds everyday so I know your behavior seems really strange. Pick a name and use it.

Alrighty...I've read the last dozen posts or so, and looks like (as usual) the room topic got forgotten for a while there
![]() Well, I'll keep my nose out of your sope-like dramas and follow damienpaul's lead. My name is Alex Cretu -> 18-year-old, aspiring astrophysicist, beginning to work on some sort of Phd. I've been a member for (oh...lemme think...) 4 months or so. I've stumbled onto this web-site totally by accident and discovered a truly Kick-*** place where I can share ideas about stuff that normaly no one knows jack about. I'm happy I joined and I strive to make all my posts as meaningfull as possible <wink> Thank y'all for your attention. Peace

Hello everyone - though I've been subscribed to UT for several years and (very) occasionally post on this remarkable forum, I've never bothered to introduce myself - how rude!
So, I'm Luca Alessandro Bocci, 32 from Pisa, Italy - astronautics enthusiast since the age of 6 (when my very thoughtful uncle gave me as a Christmas present a book on the history of the Solar System and another one on the history of space exploration) - I'll always remember how on my very first day of school I tried to explain the concept of parallax to my disbelieving teacher, earning the "mad scientist" nickname that plagued my childhood! Even if life took me far away from my childhood aspirations (I'm a freelance journalist specialized in foreign affairs) I will always be very interested in space and do my best to promote the cause of exploration in a very skeptical country like Italy. That's why I take this occasion to thank Fraser for his outstanding work (as a website content manager I realize how hard it is to build something like this from scratch) - keep up the good work! |

Hi everyone,
My name is Harold, I'm from St. Bruno just outside of Montreal, Quebec. I am an aircraft engine inspector who is a proud new dad of a baby girl named Sarah, born on May 28 2004. I also have a golden retiever named Zoe was loves going outside to do some observing. My girlfriend was the one who got be back into astronomy a few years ago. We love to travel and each time we travel we try to visit some of the observatories or astronomy interest. We visited Hawaii's Mona kea, Arizonia's Kitt Peak and Flagstaff"s lowell telescope. In the future we plan to visit Chile's observatoires. Presently I own a 10" dobson telescope and soon well be in the process in building a 16" dob. I also have a small home business who sells mat'l for building telescopes from 12.5" and up. So this is who I am. Thanks Fraiser for an outstanding Web site, and as always looking forward for each daily update. Harold |

Hello Everyone!
My name is Karen Meddows-Carey. I am 37, married, have two children - Maggie is 4 and Matthew is 1 month. I currently live in Baltimore, MD, but I'm originally from San Diego, CA. Living near the Mount Palomar Observatory sparked my interest in Astronomy in High School, and when I started to take astronomy classes in college, I thought I might major in it at one point. Unfortunately, I am horrible at math. Bye-bye astronomy degree. So, astronomy has become my favorite hobby, and thing to do on the web. I subscribe to several of the e-newsletters. I love Fraiser's the best so far, it has a wonderful twist and charm the other more scientific sites lack. (The only other site that is more tounge in cheek would be Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy site...). I don't get on the message boards very often, but if there is a discussion Fraiser brings up at the bottom of his newsletter, I'll check it out. I am always amazed by how the weather here in Baltimore preempts astronomy must-sees. I have missed nearly every landmark in the night sky because of bad weather here! I was unalbe to see the 5 nighttime planets - because of a week of rain! Best wishes to everyone, if you want to talk to me I'm at karebear1012@yahoo.com. |
