It's quite rainy or damp here at the moment. During the summer tempratures don't get much higher than around 27oc (on avarage).

Hi all

Not too long ago I googled into these forums. Keep coming back to read. The strict rules make this a great place to follow the exchange of viewpoints.

I'm an amateur cosmologist without proper education in the field. Hope to get it here.
Physics means more to me than mathematics.
I'm living in the Netherlands for 52 years now. And I do have a pair of wooden shoes

Yes Bik, it's good to have someone like you on these forums. I too am an avid learner of cosmology. Please stick around and keep posting (especially the last three sections which I think you'll find the most interesting.)

I'm Al Differ. I signed up for the newletter originally, but I like fora like these too.
I'm a physics guy by training and a space entrepreneur by passion. ^_^

We all have different backgrounds in training (I"m still in HighSchool, for example :P ) but we all share that same exact passion! B)

Hanvica- We're happy you found this website too! Get together with Al and spread the word! As for Europe, there's quite a few from the British Isles and just a few from Central and Eastern Eurasia. And I'm quite confident to say, Hanvica, you're English is already much better that Al's! h34r:

Welcome to all the recent new members. Glad to have you aboard and feel free to post.
We do not differ between those with limited knowledge or a educated people holding a dozen or more PhDs.

If English is not your first language, don't worry about it. We are as eager to hear from you as you are to post with us. We will try to understand you and may ask you to re-phrase for the sake of clarity, but never to ridicule.
My English and spelling is quite poor and I've used this language my whole life.
I think we can easily cut you some slack, or rather take into consideration that this may not be your native tongue.

So once again welcome, welcome.

Hi all

I was asked to introduce myself here, so here I am. I landed on this forum from my interest in human space travel. I hope that we (including myself) will be able to visit other planets in my lifetime - even if it is just a holiday in a martian resort.

By the way, I am South African.

Regards
F

Hi Newbies, the best way to start is to ask a question or start a discussion in one of the forums.

Several UT members of long standing may have been somewhat upset by my upstart posts; if so, apologies. Nereid, or Nereid; take your pick.

On another forum, they asked me to take a role that I feel I am unworthy of; but for those who may be interested, here is my 'acceptance speech'.
