Is asking "Did God create the Big Bang" really a religous debate? Asking this question implies the wanting of knowledge of the beginning of the universe. God can be thought of in scientific ways rather than or as well as in religous ways. Asking if God created the universe does not ignore the fact that God might have created the universe in a scientific way. Even Einstein believe in God.

Well, couldn't there've been a little bit of science in that discussion? Wouldn't it have been possible? As long as there is some scientific aspect, such an discussion should not be viewed as religious (but that's just my take).

Whether or not there is science, there is a lot of religion in such a debate.
If you ask the question, and then ask people not to express anything which is potentially inflamatory to some religion or another is hurtful.

What you are asking may be an interesting question, but it is over the line in this forum. We really don't want people exploring close to the line, let alone over it as far as religion goes. Find a religious site, or a philosophical site to ask such a question.
